What the map looks like for trades, town by town
We measured the Google Maps results for plumbers and roofers in three Fraser Valley towns on 13 October 2026. In Abbotsford, two of the first three plumbers had about 340 reviews each, while the first three roofers had between 33 and 57. In Langley, two of the first three roofers had 6 and 14 reviews and ran as service-area businesses with hidden addresses. In Chilliwack, every one of the first three plumbers and roofers was a local firm with roughly 70 to 200 reviews.
The lesson for a contractor: how hard the map is depends on your trade and your town. A thin field can be entered with steady work on the profile, listings and pages; a crowded one is won neighbourhood by neighbourhood and service by service. The free scan shows which one you are in.

What we do for a contractor
- Your Google profile set up as a service-area business with the real towns you cover, and kept right.
- Listings on the Canadian directories and the trade and rebate-program directories you qualify for, free listings only.
- Pages for the towns and services where the map shows you missing, written from jobs you actually did there (service-area pages).
- Booked jobs and revenue from your job software's export, beside the map (revenue tracking). We report what happened.
Questions from contractors
Do you work with small contractors, or only big firms?
Both. There is no revenue minimum. A one-truck operator and a ten-truck company both get the same weekly measurement; the plan differs in how many areas and pages it covers.
Will SEO work faster than Google Ads for a contractor?
No. Ads start the day you pay. Map and search work takes months to show, and keeps showing after you stop paying for it. Many contractors run both for a while. See paid ads or the Google map.
Can you promise my company the top spot?
No. Nobody controls Google's map. We measure your whole service area every week, do the work and show you what changed.
