Google Business Profile optimization, done properly and kept right
The profile carries more weight in the map pack than anything else you control. A person rebuilds it inside Google's rules, then keeps it current every month.
What we do, and what we will not
Every change is made by a person in your profile, with manager access you grant and can remove yourself. The software measures what the changes did.
We do
- Check for the things that get profiles suspended before touching anything else
- Set the most accurate primary category, and secondary categories only where they are true
- List every service you want calls for, in the words your customers use
- Set exact hours, and holiday hours ahead of each holiday
- Write the description, add true attributes and upload your real job photos
- Draft replies to your reviews, and check that review requests go to every customer
- Post for your customers, watch for edits you did not make, and revert wrong ones
- Mirror the same details on Apple Business and Bing Places
We will not
- Add keywords or town names to your business name
- Use a virtual office or an address you do not work from
- Filter who is asked for a review, or offer anything for one
- Sell geotagged photos or posts as a ranking trick
- Take ownership of your profile. We are a manager; you stay the owner
- Promise a position. Nobody can, and Google says so
How it goes
-
Day one
You add us as a manager
One invitation from your profile, plus a one-page form about your services and towns.
-
Week one
Safety check and baseline
We check the name, address and duplicates, and measure your whole area before changing anything.
-
Weeks two to four
The rebuild
Categories, services, hours, description, attributes and photos, each change logged with a date.
-
Every month
Upkeep and re-measure
Replies, posts, edit watch, and the weekly map showing what moved.
What you see in your dashboard
Every change to the profile appears under Work done, dated, so you can check it on Google yourself. The Map coverage tab shows what the grid did in the weeks after.
If a week goes the wrong way, it shows that too. How to read the map.
- Week 1Duplicate profile found and removal requested
- Week 2Primary category changed to the one you are
- Week 211 services added, in plain words
- Week 3Holiday hours set through January
- Week 4Description rewritten, 24 job photos added

Questions about google business profile
What if I don't have a Google profile?
We set one up with you, as part of the monthly plan. First we look for a listing Google may already have made for you and claim it, so you don't end up with a duplicate. Then we prepare every field: categories, services, service area, hours and photos. You own the profile and do Google's verification yourself, usually a short video. A new profile starts with no reviews and no history, so we can't say how long it will take to show up, only that the weekly map will show you when it does.
Do you need my Google password?
No, and we would not take it. You invite us as a manager from inside your profile. You stay the owner, and you can remove us yourself at any time without asking.
Will you change my business name?
Only to correct it to your real signage or registered name. We never add keywords or towns to a name: it is against Google's guidelines and a common cause of suspension.
What if my profile is suspended, or gets suspended?
We find the likely trigger, fix it first, then appeal with evidence such as your licence, signage photos or a verification video. You hear about it from us the same day.
Do you send my review requests?
Your job software can send them when a job is marked complete, and most already can. We check the setup follows the rules, every customer asked, nobody filtered, nothing offered, and we draft replies to what comes in.
Do you post on my profile?
Yes, for customers reading it: recent jobs, seasonal reminders, offers, with your real photos. Posts help people choose you. We do not sell them as a ranking lever, because tests have not shown them to be one.
How soon will I see a difference?
Nobody can give you a date honestly. The weekly measurement on the same grid shows you what changed, including the weeks nothing did.
