What we do, and what we will not
Nobody can promise that an assistant will name you. What we can do is measure it the same way every month and work on what assistants demonstrably rely on.
We do
- Write a fixed set of questions for your trade and towns, the way customers ask
- Ask them every month, many times, and count the share of answers that name you
- Track “named” and “cited as a source” separately
- Check your Google Analytics each month for the visits AI assistants actually sent you, and which pages they landed on
- Show who is named instead, and which websites the answers cite
- Turn that list of cited sites into work: listings, genuine local lists, directories
- Keep your service pages answering real questions in visible text
We will not
- Promise a mention in ChatGPT or anywhere else
- Report an “AI rank”. Answers change too much for a rank to mean anything
- Sell llms.txt, or schema as an AI boost
- Use a personal logged-in account, which personalises answers
- Send your name or email to the AI provider. Only the question goes

What you see in your dashboard
The AI answers tab shows the share of answers that named you, with the change from last month, the businesses named instead, and the sites cited. “No clear change” is a normal and honest result.
An honest note: today this measurement asks ChatGPT, through OpenAI's API. Other assistants are added only once we can measure them the same way.

Why not tell me my rank in ChatGPT?
Because there is no stable rank. Ask the same question twice and the list changes. The share of answers that name you is stable enough to track, so that is what we report.
Can you get me recommended by ChatGPT?
Nobody can promise that. We work on the things studies show assistants rely on, such as consistent listings, genuine local lists, review platforms and clear service pages, and we measure whether the share of answers naming you moves.
What do you send to the AI provider?
Only the question: a trade and a town. Your name, your business's name and your email never go to it. We look for your business in the answers on our side.
